First Visit

FIRST VISIT

Parking is accessible from Edith Street off of Whitewood Ave. Visitors are invited park wherever you feel comfortable. Handicap parking is available on either side of the covered driveway (blue spaces).

Our church is conveniently all one level and is completely accessible those with limited abilities. If you need assistance, we would love to offer a helping hand.

Upon entering the church you will be welcomed by our friendly greeters who will outline the current Covid-19 precautions in place. Then they will guide you to a seat in our sanctuary where social distancing will be in effect.

Expect to be welcomed by our friendly family of believers.

What should you wear?

Whatever makes you comfortable.  If that’s a pair of shorts and flipflops and a snazzy Hawaiian shirt, a three piece suit, jeans or a formal gown or any combination, we want you to feel welcome and ready to worship our Lord Jesus Christ. Some of our members and the officers (pastors) wear the familiar Salvation Army uniform for Sunday worship.

What are the worship services like?

You can expect the service to contain times of prayer, reading of scripture, a pleasant mix of more traditional hymns and contemporary songs, teaching from the Holy Bible, a childrens time, announcements and a time of testimony. We have a time where an offering is taken (money donations), if you don’t want to give or are unable to that’s ok.

Feel free to be as involved as you are comfortable.  We want this time to be a place of safety and learning for all who visit.

Children’s Services

We believe that children should be brought into the main family worship service. We love to have kids worshipping with their families so we endeavor to make the main worship service for them as well.

If they get squirmy (lets be honest… we all do it) and need to leave that’s ok to! We have a nursery room full of toys down the hall with a speaker so you can still hear what’s going on in the service.  But do not feel obligated to leave the service if they are a little noisy. We get that it’s hard to sit so we will have colouring books and pencil crayons on hand to keep them occupied.

During this time of Covid it is challenging to run an effective children’s program so we are currently planning for new and exciting things in the near future. Stay tuned!
